Fashion Mixologist: 5 Ways I Wore It

Hey SHIFT Stylers!

Did you know that my favorite fashion word is: Versatility.

Duh, right? SHIFT StyleHouse is all about making money moves in the fashion pieces you love, and embracing the fullness of versatility.

Versatility (n): the ability to adapt easily and quickly

I’m always looking for new ways to wear my favorite pieces from SHIFT, so this time I started with this Mix It Up Printed Dress  that I absolutely love. I wore it 5 different ways without much thought, and then the questions about how I styled the dress started flooding my inbox. So, here are the deets about how I became the fashion mixologist with this cute little Mix It Up Printed number.

Mix Up Look 1: Brunch & Booties

Classic never goes out of style. This look is the most classic of the 5 looks. The simplicity of a slim belt to accentuate the waist coupled with trendy, colorful booties makes this look perfect for an outing with the family, brunch with the girls, or a Sunday evening date night with the boo. With this look, keep your accessories to a minimum and allow the dress to speak for you.

Mix Up Look 2: Mod Madness

Mod is back, and I’m feeling it. I paired the dress with these funky, mod white ankle boots and my favorite boyfriend jeans for a fabulous shopping day look. For this look, I tucked the front of the Mix It Up Printed and left the back free-flowing (thank goodness for the fun slits on the sides). This allows me to move around, get in and out of the car, and have a quick bite to eat while feeling chic and polished.

Mix Up Look 3: Queen of Edgy

Do it like a QUEEN! I’m a little edgy, so my queen look leaves the lace at home, and uses the printed dress instead. I multi-purposed the funky, mod white ankle boots from Look 2 and slipped on the sleek, pleated midi skirt for a quick evening look. Happy hour started when I put this combo together.

Mix Up Look 4: Chic Rockstar

Leather is better! I’d like to think I would ROCK date night with the printed dress, my favorite painted-on leather skinnies, and a pair of classic pumps. The key to this look is to pair your classic pieces with your more risky ones (like skin tight leather pants...wink wink). Do keep the accessories to a minimum again here...the outfit will be enough to turn heads and drop jaws.

Mix Up Look 5: The Weekender

Keep it comfortable and fabulous. The best outfit for running errands and making moves. I slid into my favorite ripped jeans, put on a trendy leather zipper jacket, and my most comfortable suede boots (you could wear your favorite sneakers or sandals). This look allows me to drop the yoga pants I usually wear to Target and still feel like the weekend has my name on it.

This is it! The mix up has taken place, and I love it! I hope you love it too! You can grab this Mix It Up Printed Dress for your collection now at www.

Go in peace and show off your style!
